Join us on our family (and budget) friendly weekend adventures in Utah. Unplugging and getting outside was the idea that started this blog. We are building memories year round and will show you the best places to take your family to disconnect from the stress and distractions that work and school bring.

Fruita, Capitol Reef National Park
If you want a change of pace from hiking through Capitol Reef, you should visit Fruita. It has several historical buildings, including a schoolhouse, barn, and a blacksmith. You can also walk through the orchards and pick fruit that is in season. A little farther down the highway, you can stop off at the boardwalk and see petroglyphs that were made by the Fremont People.
