We needed a good place to warm up after it decided to snow this week and what better place than a hot spring. The Inlet Park Hot Springs are located on the north end of Utah Lake by the inlet to the Jordan River. Saratoga Springs owns and maintains the park and hot springs and have paved a path that goes most of the way there. It is just a short walk to get to the first hot spring. It is the largest and warmest of the three pools. It is only about 2 ½ feet deep, so you are able to sit and relax. Since they sit on the shore of Utah Lake, they are surrounded by muddy clay. You can bring a tarp to lay down on the side of the pool to make it easier to clean off when you get out. The second and third pools are much smaller and cooler. The second pool was almost completely filled with mud and we were told that they occasionally need to be cleared out to stay usable. They weren’t our favorite hot springs that we have been to, but it was a short drive and a nice break from the cold weather.
