Crystal Hot Springs, Honeyville, Utah.

We have been to a lot of hot springs in Utah, but Crystal Hot Springs is a completely different experience. As you can see from the pictures, these are much more than a muddy hole in the ground. This waterpark is located in Honeyville, Utah, about 1 hour north of Salt Lake City. There are two large swimming pools, two water slides, and four hot tubs. The pools are fed by a hot and a cold mineral spring, which are mixed to give the pools and hot tubs varying temperatures. These hot springs have the highest mineral content of any hot springs in the world, so the water is quite briney. That also makes floating in the pools easier than in a standard pool. There are maintained campgrounds around the hot springs for those who wish to spend more than one afternoon enjoying the water. We had so much fun that we forgot to take pictures of the hot tubs. We will definitely be heading back this winter when outdoor water sports shouldn't be possible.
